Rutgers Spring Invitational 2024

Over the last weekend in February, 22 UMCS-ers took vans to Piscataway, NJ for the 2024 Rutgers Spring Invitational. Leaving Saturday morning to compete against 12 other teams, our swimmers walked away with 3rd place overall with 578 points. All of our swimmers had incredible races but Sadie Lyons, Adea Turku, and Michael Pan stood out at their first away meet with times qualifying them for the 2024 College Club Swimming Nationals in April. Sadie Lyons raced below the national cut time in the 200 and 100 Freestyle.

Adea Turku raced below the national cut time in the 50 Breaststroke.

Michael Pan raced below the national cut times in 50 Butterfly.

After the meet, our swimmers enjoyed dinner out and spent the night in a nearby hotel before returning to the familiar UMass campus on Sunday morning.
