UMCS kicked off the competition season with an epic weekend in Maine!

A van full of our swimmers left campus midday Saturday, October 4th, and roadtripped up to Bangor, Maine, where they stayed the night in a hotel playing games together and resting up before the meet. The next day, they enjoyed the morning exploring the town of Orono. From the local farmers’ market to boba to bagels, it was an awesome time to bond with the group.
Competing in the afternoon against UMaine and Colby Club Swimming, our swimmers showed up, giving every swim their all! Marin Hemmett swam National Qualifying Times in her 200 I.M. and 100 Breaststroke.
After the meet, the van headed to Jersey Mike’s for some dinner before making the drive back to UMass that evening.
