UMCS Spring Invitational 2024

On March 3rd, UMCS hosted our 2024 Spring Invitational against Dartmouth, UMass Lowell, and UVM. On a day of great weather and even greater energy on the pool deck, our team secured first place with 302 points and 17 swimmers with national qualifying times. Meet results can be found here.

Bel Corder, Nika Chmigleski, Celia Perks, Kelsey MacMillan, Lauren Graham, Ben Doughty, Boyd Pugh, Adea Turku, Amanda Wojenski, Michael Urgo, Vianka Acosta McKenzie, Clara Do, David Del Rio, and Josh Sautter all raced times below the CCS National Cut Times.

David Dagenais, Bonnie Zhao, and Donna Ross all qualified for Nationals for the first time this season in the 50yd Breaststroke, the 100yd Individual Medley, and the 200 Individual Medley, respectively.

During the meet, swimmers and officials snacked on delicious treats donated by swimmer's parents, two buckets of UMCS goodies were given out to spectators who participated in our raffle, and merch was sold to raise money for our team. Beginning at 11:30, the meet lasted until around 2:00 allowing swimmers plenty of time in the afternoon to soak up the rare Amherst spring sun. UMCS thanks all of the amazing officials and timers who helped run our meet!!
